Directions to the Museum

GETTING TO THE METAL MUSEUM

There is currently construction happening around the area due to works on the I-55. There are diversions posted but using Google Maps will bring you directly to the Metal Museum.

FROM DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS

Go south on South Main Street and turn right onto E.H. Crump Boulevard. From E. H. Crump Blvd, turn left onto Florida Street. Turn right on W. McLemore and continue as it curves to the right and turns into Riverside Blvd. Cross the railroad tracks and at the top of the hill, turn left onto Metal Museum Drive. The Metal Museum is on the left.

FROM EAST MEMPHIS/SUBURBS

From I-40 West
Take Exit 1C - Danny Thomas Boulevard and turn right onto E.H. Crump Boulevard. Turn left onto Florida Street. Turn right on W. McLemore and continue as it curves to the right and turns into Riverside Blvd. Cross the railroad tracks and at the top of the hill, turn left onto Metal Museum Drive. The Metal Museum is on the left.

FROM I-240 WEST AND I-55 NORTH

Follow I-55 North and take Exit 11 - W McLemore Avenue/President’s Island. Turn left onto W McLemore Ave. From W McLemore Ave, follow the road to the right onto Riverside Blvd. Cross the railroad tracks and at the top of the hill, turn left onto Metal Museum Drive. The Metal Museum is on the left.

FROM HIGHWAY 78

Go West on Highway 78, also known as Lamar Avenue. Lamar Avenue will become E.H. Crump Blvd. Continue on E. H. Crump Blvd, turn left onto Florida Street. Turn right on W. McLemore and continue as it curves to the right and turns into Riverside Blvd. Cross the railroad tracks and at the top of the hill, turn left onto Metal Museum Drive. The Metal Museum is on the left.

FROM ARKANSAS
From I-55 South*

After you have crossed the bridge into Tennessee, Follow I-55 S to W McLemore Ave in Memphis. Take exit 11 McLemore Ave toward Presidents Island. Turn right on W. McLemore and continue as it curves to the right and turns into Riverside Blvd. Cross the railroad tracks and at the top of the hill, turn left onto Metal Museum Drive. The Metal Museum is on the left. *Please note there is ongoing construction on I-55 at this time, please check TDOT for the most up-to-date travel instructions.

From I-40 East

After you have crossed the bridge into Tennessee, exit 1B - US51/Danny Thomas Boulevard South. Turn right on E.H. Crump Blvd, then left of Florida St. Turn right on W. McLemore and continue as it curves to the right and turns into Riverside Blvd. Cross the railroad tracks and at the top of the hill, turn left onto Metal Museum Drive. The Metal Museum is on the left.

LEAVING THE METAL MUSEUM

TO DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS/MIDTOWN

Head west on Metal Museum Drive towards the Mississippi River bluff. Follow the road as it curves left around Chickasaw Heritage Park. At the three-way intersection, turn right onto Riverside Blvd and follow the road down the hill. Go straight across the railroad tracks. Turn left onto W McLemore Ave. Turn left on Florida Street and continue into downtown or turn right on E.H. Crump Blvd. toward Midtown.

TO I-55 NORTH

Head west on Metal Museum Drive towards the Mississippi River bluff. Follow the road as it curves left around Chickasaw Heritage Park. At the three-way intersection, turn right onto Riverside Blvd and follow the road down the hill. Go straight across the railroad tracks and continue straight onto Riverside Blvd. Turn left on South Parkway West, and then right onto the I-55 North ramp.
