ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The Metal Museum is pleased to announce the 9th Annual Foundry Invitational and River Exhibition (F.I.R.E.) for foundry and casting artists including foundry workshops, a slide lecture, a pop-up exhibition, and an opportunity to participate in an iron pour.

This year’s guest artist for F.I.R.E. is Charles Logan. Enroll in the Guest Artist workshop to work directly with him. Participants will take instruction from Charles, who has a lifetime of experience working in foundries and accomplishing complex mold making techniques. Students will learn skills in multipart mold making methods and alternative part line processes. Students are encouraged to bring personal pieces to use as patterns for the class.
