Welding Classes
Welding classes are designed for students with no experience or limited prior experience. Three-hour, one-day and weekend workshops are offered. All Metal Museum welding classes are taught as introductory and hobby classes. Students will be introduced to various welding techniques and taught to safely use a variety of welding machines. These are fun hobby introductions and not certification classes. Tools and materials are provided.
Requirements: Students under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an enrolled legal guardian or obtain approval upon registration. Students must wear all-cotton clothing, long pants, long sleeves, and closed-toed leather shoes, as well as OSHA-approved safety glasses and work gloves.
Classes are categorized as:
- Beginner – no previous experience required
- Intermediate – some experience or working knowledge
- Advanced – prerequisite of other Metal Museum classes or equivalent
