After more than a year of planning, prepping, collaboration and casting the Metal Museum Foundry installed the final version of the Gaston Community Center aluminum art tiles Wednesday afternoon! The mounted plaques can now be seen on the north side of the community center located at the corner of S. 3rd St and Walker Ave. The plaques contain individual art tiles designed by students at LaRose Elementary and Cummings Elementary, two schools sharing a zip code with the Museum.
Check out some of the sweet notes written by students' from LaRose and Cummings and come celebrate the students' artwork today from noon-2pm with free refreshments, live performances and snacks at the Gaston Library at 1040 S. 3rd St.!
